Owl Update

I spoke to Three Rivers Avian Center and our owlett, “Owl”, has been graduated to the flight barn. He’s hanging out with other young Barred Owls his age.    This is wonderful news!!!!

The 2nd owl, that we were contacted about but the avian hospital was able to directly pick up has a broken distal tarsus and is being hand fed in the raptor ward. This fracture is a bad one and it cannot be surgically repaired. He’s on limited motion and soft perches. For future updates, we will call him Gilbert Owl after the place he was found.
