I was able to finally meet Natalie this evening at CAVC while I was there picking up puppies. Her owners are still in the wind. She had a lot of pain yesterday but was doing some better today. Dr Osborne said it was a pretty rough surgery because that side of her pelvis pretty much pulverized.
Update Saturday morning: Sadly, Natalie didn’t make it. She started seizing and vomiting and the vet put her down. She didn’t even make it past the stray hold to be released into our care. I was not notified before she was put down. I found out when I stopped in to pick Shelby up for her transfer to another vet. What a horrible way to start the day, finding out a dog you stepped up to help is dead.
