Elara Rose Coonhound was transferred to a partner rescue a few weeks ago. They noticed she was still struggling with her leg and ended up taking her to a specialist. The specialist said the bone has not healed properly so she will need another surgery. Here’s the update from their vet:
The specialist looked at the fracture and said it is pretty easy to fix. He will open it up and take the wires out, then put in a bone plate. It should heal beautifully. Surgery will be in 2-1/2 weeks.
Their surgery estimate is $2,500. If you would like to donate for Elara’s surgery, please visit this page.
